Digital Marketing Manager at CitizenLab

As our US Digital Marketing Manager, you will work closely with our US Market Lead and our Global Marketing team, to oversee all content marketing initiatives, both internal and external, across multiple platforms and formats to drive sales, engagement, retention, and leads. You will also be responsible for working with our Sr. Content Strategist to write content for the different touchpoints. The ideal candidate is an expert in all things related to content and channel optimization, brand consistency, customer experience, segmentation and localization, analytics and measurement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Content Writing: work closely with our Sr. Content Strategist and our market leader to identify hot content verticals in the US market and develop strong content pieces around them.
  • Campaign Management: create and execute integrated campaigns that include assets, email, blog, and social media to drive user engagement and help them move further down the funnel.
  • Social Media Management: manage and adapt our global social media strategy to the US market, including content development and channel analysis.
  • Website Management: have full ownership of the US website and work closely with the marketing team to test new hypotheses that would help optimize conversion.

What do we expect from you?

You like working in a small and agile team with a strong bias for action—we ideate, we experiment, we learn. You are curious, open-minded, and you proactively search for new insights in the field of digital democracy. Besides, you are eager to learn quickly and recognise yourself in the following profile:

  • You have experience in managing creation and promotion of content across all stages of a customer’s journey to drive business outcomes.

  • You have experience in B2B content marketing/strategy, SEO and social media strategy and execution.

  • You excel at writing in American English and can demonstrate this through previous content and/or copywriting projects.

  • You have an interest in and experience writing about GovTech and public sector topics.

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working with digital tools.

  • Ability and excitement to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Team player spirit to thrive in a cross-functional and collaborative set-up.

  • Autonomous work style. You have the ability to lead and execute projects from start to finish, thanks to a strong skill set in project management and communication.

  • You are fluent in English.

Eagerness to learn, talent, and enthusiasm are more important than ticking the boxes though. Even if not all desired requirements are met, but you're very excited about the role, we want to hear from you.

What can you expect from us?

  • Unlock your full potential and create social impact at scale through our open-source product. Day-to-day, we work with local government leaders across the world to help them connect with their communities.

  • Enjoy an informal work vibe with open communication and full transparency on results.
  • Participate in our various in-person and remote team events, inspiring team lunches, our company book club, bi-quarterly strategic town halls, and yearly global team retreats.
  • Spend 10% of your time on personal projects and self-development for the long run. We’re committed to both collective and individual growth.
  • Receive a competitive salary package, incl. perks such as 26 paid time off, paid bank holidays, healthcare benefits for you, 401(k), a professional development budget, a collective bonus plan, your own laptop, full flexibility on working from home, and much more.
